What Gen Y Want in a Car

Breaking news: Kim Kardashian loves the spotlight.

In other obvious news of the day, recent research conducted by the genii at Roy Morgan has found that, after reliability, the most important feature those crazy youngsters look for in a car is style and appearance. Like duh.

We’re dumbfounded as to how these findings could surprise anyone because young people buy cars with the same mind-set that they go into relationships with - “Please don’t break down and please be good looking”.

Of course the major concern of the 18 to 29 age group is how often they’ll actually have to get off their butts and do something like actually get a car serviced. And of course after this comes aesthetics because heaven forbid they are seen in anything that undoes all the flattering work of their fedora hats and skinny jeans. And how could they possibly Tweet about being seen in a Volvo?

The findings also reveal that the majority of 18 to 29-year-olds want all the extras as standard and that they consider fuel efficiency more important than high performance. So Gen Y's are greedy and cheap? Like, really? Riveting stuff…
