Kia Teaches P-Platers by Motorvation

25 July 2011

Kia Motors Australia and the internationally-lauded driver training organisation, Motorvation, is strengthening its collaborative effort to provide young Australian drivers with the best possible start to safe driving.

Kia Motors Australia has been taking the Motorvation program to select Victorian state schools, teaching learners and P-platers about a safe and sensible life behind the wheel.

Through an increase in sponsorship support and involvement on Motorvation's part, the one-day course will now reach 4,000 students in Victoria and NSW.

Long gone are the days of your driving instructor getting you to do laps around an empty car-park. Today's students are sure to feel like they're preparing to be sent into space no-less with Kia Motorvation's Mobile Training Centre bringing them advanced-technology motion simulators; complete with realistic hydraulic movement and customised software scenarios giving the students a taste of driving in the real world.

Rather than enhancing skills, the course aims to achieve awareness of thoughts about driving that are often unconscious and, in turn, uses this awareness to try change driving behaviour. Sounds pretty smart to us.
