Ferrari’s First Four-Wheel Drive Revealed

08 February 2011

It certainly doesn’t look like one, but Ferrari has released its first-ever four-wheel drive.

And while the Ferrari Four, or ‘FF’, probably seems to be veering away from its core target market, it still sticks to what Ferrari knows best – how to make a car look sexy.

The sexy new mummy mobile has already been ordered by about 10 Aussies but won’t be available in Australia until later this year.
But while practicality seems to play more of a role in the FF than most Ferraris, it’s still not one for a typical soccer mum with the pricetag expected to reach almost $900,000.

It’s powered by a V12 engine and goes from 0 – 100km/h in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of a hair-raising 335km/h.
Ferrari said the FF's four-wheel-drive system weighs 50 per cent less than a conventional four-wheel-drive system, aiding fuel economy and weight distribution, and will average about 15.4 litres of fuel per 100km.

It can comfortably fit four people and has plenty of junk in its trunk with a 450-litre boot capacity and most importantly, will be available in six different colours with a semi-aniline leather interior.

The FF will make its official debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show where the public will get its first look at the interior of the car. Can’t wait!
