The 2010 Australian Grand Prix was held on March 28, 2010 at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, Melbourne, Australia. It was the second race of the 2010 Formula One season. The race was won by McLaren driver Jenson Button, the first back-to-back Australian Grand Prix winner since Michael Schumacher in 2002. Second was Renault driver Robert Kubica ahead of Ferrari duo, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso.
I was actually lucky to be at the event last year and had a ball, thanks to free tickets from event sponsor Vodafone. Although it rained for most of the evening, the atmosphere and the pre race entertainment made it a fantastic event.
As we sit at our desks here in Richmond, Melbourne 10km from Albert Park and the race, we can hear the cars zooming past practicing.
There may not be too many Grand Prix left in Melbourne, so make the most of the event before it is too late and you have to travel overseas to live it.
